Although it is not mandatory under the law, the CFS-BC annually contracts an independent firm to conduct a financial audit.
The audited financial statements are adopted by resolution at at the annual general meeting where each member students' union is represented.
Note: Unlike in most fields, the term "unqualified" in the auditing profession is a good thing. An unqualified audit means that an organization's financial controls and reporting are in good health, with no "qualifications" or exceptions. All of the CFS-BC's audits are unqualified.
